Percussion Solo Contest Results
This past Friday, percussion students competed in our very own Percussion Solo Contest at Killian. Students performed both snare and mallet etudes. Congratulations to the 29 solo events that earned a Division I - Superior rating! Additionally, 13 students received an Outstanding Performance award. Bravo and congratulations to those students!
7th Grade Auditions / Final Exam
Auditions will begin this week. Specific dates/times depend on the class due to performances, Culture Fest, and other schedule considerations. All students will complete an audition as it will count for the Final Exam grade.
Students in 8th grade who do not audition for Hebron HS will also be required to complete the audition for their final exam grade.
We wish all of our students the best of luck and skill!
School-Owned Instrument Final Check-In / Summer Information
This information is for students who play Piccolo, Oboe, Tenor Saxophone, Bari Saxophone, Bassoon, French Horn, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba only.
We will start collecting school-owned instruments for summer repair and reconciliation on Friday, May 20th. Students will need to turn in all school-owned instruments including instruments checked out for home use.
Summer Instruments: For students currently in 6th or 7th grade, a summer instrument will be issued during the final week of school. Due to the extent of summer repair, we may have to issue an instrument to your child which will require summer repair and maintenance. Our goal is to send in instruments in phases and swap out instruments as others become available after repairs are complete. To summarize, students will not be without a school-owned instrument over the summer, but we may have to swap out the instrument in June or July once the first phase of repairs are complete.
Current 8th Graders: More information about summer instrument check-out is forthcoming.
